  68. This package contains Grammar Slammer (Version 1.0), by James Bair.
  69. This document contains only a brief description of the package and its
  70. features, along with instructions for its installation. More detailed
  71. documentation is included in the package, but it is in archived form, and
  72. is more easily read after installation.

  74. If you have ever wanted grammar information at your fingertips, if you
  75. wanted to answer those questions that grammar checkers ask you, if you
  76. just are not sure where the comma goes...then Grammar Slammer is for
  77. you. It goes beyond a checker and is far easier than an online grammar
  78. book. It will slam your grammar agony!

  80. Grammar Slammer is a shareware program.  This evaluation version includes
  81. all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.  You may
  82. use it for up to 30 days, without charge (see GSWP4W.TXT for more
  83. details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use after
  84. this evaluation period, you are required to pay for the program (see
  85. GSWP4W.TXT for more details).  Any fee you may have paid to others
  86. (disk vendors, dealers, etc.) to obtain this evaluation version was a
  87. fee for their copying and distribution services, rather than a payment
  88. for continued use of the program.

  109. ===== Installation =====================================

  111. Copy GRAMDEMO.HLP to any directory. We recommend creating a new directory
  112. named "GRAMSLAM."  We will assume that this is the name of your
  113. directory. If not, please make the proper adjustments. You may also want
  114. to copy the program icon, GRAMSLAM.ICO, to this directory or to the
  115. directory you normally keep your icons in. You may also want to copy the
  116. button graphic GSWP4W.BMP to this directory or the directory where you
  117. keep other Word Perfect button graphics.
  118.  
  119. Copy the file GRAMDEMO.WCM to directory where you keep your Word Perfect
  120. Macros. This is normally WP4WIN/MACROS, but it may vary.

  122. You are now set to run GRAMMAR SLAMMER from your Word Perfect for Windows
  123. program.

  125. For further instructions on installing hot keys, buttons, icons, etc.
  126. and for specific methods see the GSWP4W.TXT file.

  130. ===== Running GRAMMAR SLAMMER========================================
  131.  
  132. Running the macro to launch GRAMMAR SLAMMER is called "playing" the
  133. macro. Choose "Macros" from the "Tools" Menu, then choose "Play."  Enter
  134. the Macro name in the box (GRAMDEMO.WCM).  If you do not recall the name,
  135. click "List" (or press the F4 key) and a list of names will appear,
  136. highlight the correct name and click on "OK." Click on the "Play" button.
  137.  
  138. To Run GRAMMAR SLAMMER you have six choices: 1) Run it from
  139. the "Play | Macro" routine from the menu as above; 2) Add it to the Word
  140. Perfect Menu and then click on the menu choice when you want to run it,
  141. 3) Run it from a text-based toolbar in Word Perfect for Windows; 4) Add
  142. the GSWP4W.BMP to the toolbar and then click on the Grammar Slammar icon
  143. when you want it to appear; 5) Assign a "shortcut key" to the GRAMMAR
  144. SLAMMER macro and use that key combination to get GRAMMAR SLAMMER to run;
  145. or 6) Run it from a regular Windows icon in one of the Program Manager
  146. Windows.

  148. The way or ways in which you play the macro depend on how you installed
  149. it into Word Perfect. For further instructions on installing each way of
